SASSA Approved but No Payment Date or Money: What to Check
An approved status confirms the decision for the period, but it does not always mean the payment has already been released. Work through payment details and processing separately.

Check these four things
- The exact month/period is approved.
- Your bank/payment details are complete and valid.
- The account belongs to you where account ownership is required.
- The payment status has had enough time to update after approval or a banking change.

Common reasons payment can lag after approval
- Bank verification is still processing.
- Payment details were recently changed.
- The bank account is closed, restricted or incorrect.
- A payment attempt failed or was reversed.
- Payment batching occurs after the approval decision.

What not to do
- Do not pay an agent to release an approved grant.
- Do not create multiple applications for the same person.
- Do not share OTPs or bank PINs.
